Colt 1911 45acp pistol made in 1918, reworked in WWII.Parkerized finish with double diamond grips.This pistol was shipped to the US Army in November of 1918.This pistol has a Colt marked barrel with the # 5 stamped under the barrel lug.1913 is the last patent date on the slide with the Colt horse in the middle of the slide.Right side of the slide has "MODEL OF 1911 U. S. ARMY".The rear sight is the larger square type with a blade front.The trigger has been replaced with a short type.The slide stop has been replaced and someone tried to remove U S Property above the serial number.The grips are very good ++ with a few small dings.Springfield inspection marks on the right side of the frame.The edges are sharp and the pistol is very good to excellant as refinished.The magizine is an un-marked blue replacement. |
